Studio Mission Statement

The mission of Dr. Gritton's studio is:

To develop musical talent by encouraging self-expression, imagination, and individuality.

To teach advanced piano technique by encouraging relaxation and prevention of injury.

To guide students in the development of artistry and sensitivity to the nuances of musical language.

To provide frequent performance opportunities and to teach students that, when prepared, performing for others is a JOYFUL, not a terrifying, experience.

To teach all of the skills needed for future careers in music (if students should choose that path) and to provide excellent mentorship.

To provide the best equipment for student use including two Steinway pianos and a state-of-the-art recording studio.

To foster a supportive studio environment where friendships are formed.

To help students develop responsibility, discipline, and self-esteem.

To enjoy making music!
